Dual Operator Controller

This controller enables two operators, running one transceiver, to independently make and log QSOs.  It is ideal for Parks-On-The-Air (POTA) operation, general two-operator tandem QSO’ing, contesting, and training a new operator.  Each operator wears a headset, and has his own footswitch.  Both operators hear the radio’s audio.  When the first operator depresses his footswitch, his LED illuminates, his radio’s audio is muted, and his mic is connected to the radio, and transmits.  He makes and can log the QSO.  The second operator hears the QSO via the radio’s monitor audio.  When the first operator releases his footswitch, the second operator can then depress his footswitch and similarly make and log another QSO.  This controller set includes two footswitches, a radio interface cable (Round or RJ45), an audio cable, and a DC cable for 12volt power.  When ordering click on the correct mic cable for your make radio, above.  Internal jumpers are set to configure either dynamic or electret microphones.  This controller works with headsets that have an attached microphone, called computer headsets, or “gaming headsets”.
